Omar Camps-Kamrin is a composer, performer, multi-instrumentalist, and educator based in New York City. Growing up between New York City and Cairo, Egypt, music was always a place that he could come home to. He loves exploring different types of music and writing for a variety of different media.
He has co-written, music directed, and mounted several original musicals. He has scored several short films, mini-series, podcasts, and was thrilled to win “Best Original Score” at the Hudson Film Fest in 2023. He was also selected for the Society of Lyricists and Composers New York 2024-2025 Mentorship program. He believes that the stories we tell, and how we tell them, can be transformative, and he is passionate about harnessing the power of that transformation.
